Current housing market conditions have led to an increase in extensions to private houses. CASA Design brings considerable skill in remodelling houses, both spatially and visually, to create modern design solutions and more useable spaces.
Refurbishing the existing building stock of houses provides challenging and rewarding projects for both the client and architect alike. By working hand in hand with the client and forming a genuine understanding of requirements and lifestyle, we can provide solutions that, through sensitive structural remodelling, can achieve the full potential of a home and transform the way clients live.
We realise that many homeowners are often happy where they live but require additional living space or a more modern, user-friendly home environment. Creating your personal living space rather than moving house can be a rewarding experience. Expanding the living space you have can be an easy way to avoid the high costs of moving house while at the same time adding to the value of both your home and your own living experience.
We undertake extensions, sunrooms, internal alterations for larger open plan dining kitchens, entire house remodelling, including attic and garage conversions.
We can attain Planning Permission and Building Warrant Approvals on individual domestic projects. CASA Design can realize ways of optimising your current living space within your budget whilst considering the various practical implications and physical constraints.
We understand the importance of taking time to explore all the possible options at the outset rather than rushing ahead and building a poorly
thought out design.
There is nothing worse than wishing you had done something else after completing an extension or conversion. We believe it is essential to examine all the options at the outset and to work through the design process with our clients at each stage.
Refurbishment of Scotland's many historically important buildings requires careful design and workmanship. CASA Design brings a balanced approach to being involved on Listed Buildings by working in sympathy with the original fabric whilst also bringing a contemporary palette.
Casa Design has worked for many clients within the historic building sector, including National Trust for Scotland, Historic Environment Scotland, Listed Buildings and Conservation Areas.
Whether the scheme is for refurbishment, interior remodelling, extending or simply working within the curtilage of a Listed Building, our approach is to respect the original whilst creating a comfortable and stylish solution.
To realise this, we work closely with Planning and Conservation officers, Historic Environment Scotland and our clients to achieve responsible solutions.
We have undertaken many projects on listed buildings and houses within conservation areas.
We are lucky enough to have been involved in Culzean Castle, Killochan Castle, Blairquhan Castle, Drumellan House and Nether Auchendrane House locally, along with working in Kilkerran, Gadgirth and Sundrum Estates.
Our portfolio sustains a diverse content of community and public building projects. We have had involvement in several educational buildings, hostel and club house schemes and a local recycling centre.
Recently, we have participated in both primary and secondary schools in Ayrshire and further afield in Edinburgh and the Western Isles, along with a chiropractic centre, a medical and a dental practice, and a hostel for people with learning difficulties to expand our educational and healthcare portfolio.
CASA Design maintains good working relationships with the local Ayrshire Councils and contractors and continues to expand our consultative capacity, as well as our traditional architectural service.
Casa's commercial portfolio encompasses a wide range of alterations and new-build projects, including office buildings, hot food takeaways, farm buildings, commercial garages, and many public bars, restaurants and shops.
We have carried out refurbishment projects across the whole of Scotland.
